“The last services over the remains of Mrs. Catherine Roherty were held at St. Mary’s church this morning and were conducted by the Rev. Father Roche. Mrs. Roherty was 62 years of age and had resided in Rock County since 1853. Her last illness was of but 10 days duration, death being caused by abscess of the stomach. At the close of to-days services the remains were interred at Mount Olivet.”
(Note: there is a discrepancy in her age in the Gazette article; she was really age 59 at the time of her death)
