Obituary from the Sheboygan Press, Nov. 12, 1958:
Mrs. Cynthia Simmelink, 77, of Rt. 1, Oostburg, died suddenly at her home late Tuesday morning. She was the widow of Bert Simmelink.
She was born in the Town of Holland Jan. 28, 1881, a daughter of the late Garret and Henrietta Navis. She was married to Bert Simmelink at Gibbsville, Feb. 11, 1903, and spent most of her life farming with her husband in the Town of Holland. Mr. Simmelink preceded her in death in 1948. She was a member of the Hingham Reformed church and the Ladies Mission Society.
Survivors are three sons, Willis of Oostburg, Harvey of Evansville, Ind, and Edward of Cedar Grove; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Henrietta) Obbink of Oostburg and Mrs. Lester (Ruby) Lukens of Cedar Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Oonk of Oostburg and Mrs. Bena Ramaker of Kohler, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
