Mrs. Delina E. Smith Called to Her Reward
Mrs. Delina E. Smith, aged 64 years, died this morning at 3:45 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Tupper, 814 Leland Ave, of skiris cancer, after an illness since November. She came to this city on January 24th last from her home at Neilsville. She was born December 26th, 1849 in Chenango County, NY, and came to this county when 6 years old. Her first husband, Frank Reinert, died in 1882. Twelve years ago yesterday she was married to Alonzo M. Smith, at Oshkosh. She is survuved by three children, Mrs. George Tupper, Miss Irene Reinert, of this city and Mrs. Ina Forbisch of Colby. Two daughters, Mrs. Harriet Doherty of Cascade and Miss Mariam Tupper are dead (??). Mrs. Smith was a woman who enjoyed an extensive acquaintance throughout the county, and news of her death will be received with regret by a large following of friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday morning at the house of her daughter, Mrs. Tupper., Leland Ave, and will be private. At 9 o’clock the remains will be taken to Cascade where interment will take place in Swann cemetery, Sherman township.

1870: Cannot locate in census; daughter Hattie was born in July 1870; the census in 1870 was taken between June and the end of July. I scanned all five Wards of Oshkosh and there was no family that matched the description of Frank and Delina.
