Parents: John Calvin Miller and Helen (Nellie) Euretta Hills

Marriage: 2/5/1899, Ironton WI to Iva M. Banks. Seperated Feb. 1931, divorced 5/7/1931; “non-support and cruelty”, about 9 months after Thieron’s death.

 

Children: Theron,  Arthur Lee,  Nelly Mae,  Ira,  Alice L.

 

Death: A death certificate was located of a Frank Miller, who died in 1937, age 59. This Frank Miller was born in 1878; his body was found in the Milwaukee River at the Juneau St. bridge. Death was by drowning, presumed suicide.  The body was found on 8/15/1937; death occurred on 8/14/37. The informant lived at the same apartment building but did not know any personal information such as parents or birthplace.  I checked each death certificate of every Frank Miller who died in the state of Wisconsin between 1931 and 1944, and none of the others were a match. His sister Maude died in 1944, and Frank was not listed as a survivor, so death occurred before that time. The body was donated for “anatomical purpose” to Marquette University in Milwaukee. There was a medical school there at the time, which is now the Medical College of Milwaukee. His occupation was listed as specialty salesman.

Frank Miller, head of house, renting at $55/mo. Owns radio. White male, age 50, married, at age 19, able to read and write. Born in Nebraska, Father born in Indiana, mother WI. Works as “checker” at Chevrolet Motors. Not a veteran.
Iva, wife, white female age 48, married at age 17. Born Wi, both parents born WI.
Arthur, son, age 21, single, not attended school within past year. Born in WI, not currently employed
Ira, son age 14, single, born WI, currently attending school
Alice, daughter, age 12, currently attending school
4 roomers living with them or at same address.
