Death: 26 Dec 1939, at daughter Cynthia’s home, died at age 87 of bronchitis and arteriosclerosis.

 From The Sheboygan Press, December 26, 1939:

MRS. G.J. NAVIS DIES AT FARM OF DAUGHTER TODAY
Oostburg- Mrs. G.J. Navis, 87, passed away this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Simmelink, at her farm home near Five Corners.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 o’clock at the Simmelink Funeral Home in Oostburg, and at 1:15 o’clock at the Christian Reformed Church, the Rev. J.C. Schaap officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Survivors are the following children: Mrs. John Simmelink, Five Corners, Mrs. Bert Simmelink, Mrs. Henry Ramaker, and John Navis of Adell, Mrs. John Veldboom of Oostburg. Her husband, one daughter, Mrs. William Dekker and a son George, preceded her in death.
