I started researching my family in 1998, and has been my passion ever since. I hope you can find some information to connect my family to yours. It's always nice to meet new cousins!

Misc: There was an article published in a newspaper in 1947 where Otis C. Tupper, son of Henry, was interviewed about his family’s move first from Wisconsin to Missouri, then from Missouri to Louisiana. The family supposedly floated a raft with their belongings from Wisconsin to Missouri, stayed there for a time, then moved on to Louisiana. Henry’s younger sister, Sarah Dana O’Brien, was living near St. Louis at the time. Henry took his mother along to Missouri with him, although his father was still alive. Perhaps the old couple did not get along or perhaps she wanted to see her daughter one last time. She died shortly after arriving there. Whe the family moved on to Louisiana, legend has it that the parents and younger children took the train and the four older sons came by covered wagon, pulled by mules and carrying the family’s personal possessions, taking 3 weeks to make the trip. They arrived in Louisana on 12/17/1888. (information from Wm. Terry, 2004)
At his death, he left a plantation of 1387 acres of rice fields
