JOSEPH WILD, TOWN OF ROLLING, DIES

     Joseph Wild, 87, former town of Rolling supervisor, died Saturday at the home of his son, Wolfgang Wild, town of Rolling, after a short illness.  He served as supervisor of the township for five years and was treasurer of the town for seven years and town clerk for nine years.

     Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock at St. John’s Church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Conrad Saile officiating.  Friends may view the remains at the Wolfgang Wild home.

     He was born in Austria in 1853 and was married to Anna Achaz there in 1881 and in 1882 they came to the United States, settling in Manitowoc.  The following year they came to Antigo to make their home for six months, moving then to the town of Rolling, where they have lived since.  Mrs. Wild died 20 years ago and one son, Frank, passed away five years ago.

     Surviving are seven children, Theresa, Mrs. George Gallenberg of Bryant; Wolfgang of the town of Rolling; Annie, Mrs. James Hartl of Elmhurst; Josephine, Mrs. Frank Dobrinska of Antigo; Martha, Mrs. James Schroepfer of Antigo; Joseph Jr. town of Rolling; and Francis, Mrs. John Zwirschitz, Elderon.  He also leaves 50 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
